Water, the source of all life
Water is life, and each Lascaux line of paints springs from water. Since its establishment Lascaux has consistently focused on water-based systems, and Lascaux paints are made primarily without the use of solvents. That is why they are certified as non-toxic in accordance with both Swiss regulations and US standards.

Flowing together
A fundamental element of the paint’s characteristic structure is the high quality of Swiss water, which is additionally energised on the company premises. Each process at the Swiss production site near Zurich is tracked and monitored both visually and manually. And only raw materials with the strongest character and structure flow into the recipes and formulas, which are constantly adapted to the state of the art.

Perfected
Most of the colour lines and mediums are perfected on the three-mill roller, a process that guarantees the utmost quality. The equipment and machinery are cleaned exclusively using water, which is only discharged into the environment once it has passed through a water treatment plant designed specially for the company.

Smooth transitions
It is only after a meticulous final inspection that the colour is finally filled into the original and distinctive Lascaux bottles. Smooth transitions between the individual production stages and painstaking care ensure that the end product satisfies the highest artistic and ecological requirements.
